OF CLOSED PRE-SUBMITTAL MEETING FOR THE FUTURE SUBMITTAL OF WESTINGHOUSE ELECTRIC COMPANY TOPICAL REPORT WCAP-18773-P/NP, HIGHER ENRICHMENT FOR WESTINGHOUSE AND COMBUSTION ENGINEERING FUEL DESIGNS (PROPRIETARY/NON-PROPRIETARY) (EPID L-2023-TOP-0021)
On May 3, 2023, a closed pre-submittal virtual meeting was held between the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff and Westinghouse Electric Company (Westinghouse) representatives. The purpose of the meeting was for Westinghouse representatives to present proprietary information related to the future submittal of Westinghouse Topical Report (TR)
WCAP-18773-P/NP, Higher Enrichment for Westinghouse and Combustion Engineering Fuel Designs (Proprietary/Non-Proprietary).
The Westinghouse representatives provided a brief background on Westinghouses high energy fuel program and presented information related to the future submittal of WCAP-18773-P/NP including the TRs purpose, scope, outlines, and summary including review of regulatory criteria, potential licensee implementation actions, design methods and analysis, limits of applicability, and the schedule. By a letter dated April 25, 2023, Westinghouse submitted the presentation slides (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Package Accession No. ML23115A440). The meeting was noticed on April 17, 2023, and meeting notice is available in ADAMS under Accession No. ML23107A211. The list of attendees is enclosed.
