In the Reference 1 letter, the NRC provided a final significance determination of a White finding and notice of violation associated with the failure of the Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Power Plant (CCNPP), Unit 1, 1A Diesel Generator on February 19, 2022. In support of the associated supplemental inspection for this finding , the Reference 2 letter documents the Constellation Energy Generation, LLC (CEG) notification to the NRC of readiness for a supplemental inspection in accordance with Inspection Procedure 95001, "Supplemental Inspection Response to Action Matrix Column 2 (Regulatory Response) Inputs." In response, the NRC notified CEG of the plan to perform the supplemental inspection the week of June 5, 2023.

This letter requests a postponement in the NRC's performance of the 95001 Inspection for CCNPP, Unit 1. This request is based on time needed to complete an additional causal analysis associated with the 1A Diesel Generator.

CEG will advise the NRC in writing of our readiness to conduct the inspection upon completion of the casual analysis.
