April 28, 2023 NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING Licensee: Northern States Power CompanyMinnesota Facility: Prairie Island Nuclear Generating Plant, Units 1 and 2 Docket Nos: 50-282, 50-306 Date and Time: Wednesday, May 24, 2023 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. (CDT)

Location: Hybrid meeting: Webinar (via Microsoft Teams)

Purpose:

The NRC staff will host a hybrid meeting to present the NRCs assessment of safety performance at Prairie Island Nuclear Generating Plant for 2022, as described in the 2022 annual assessment letter. Following the presentation, the NRC will respond to questions specific to the safety performance of the station and the NRCs role in ensuring safe plant operations.

NRC Attendees: Hironori Peterson, Chief, Reactor Projects Branch 3 Division of Operating Reactor Safety Dan Tesar, Senior Resident Inspector, Prairie Island Kevin Pusateri, Resident Inspector, Prairie Island Teresa Ray, Site Administrative Assistant, Prairie Island Others, as designated Public Participation: This is an Information Meeting with a Question and Answer Session. The purpose of this meeting is for the NRC staff to meet directly with individuals to discuss regulatory and technical issues.

Attendees will have an opportunity to ask questions of the NRC staff or make comments about the issues discussed throughout the meeting; however, the NRC is not actively soliciting comments toward regulatory decisions at this meeting.

The NRC staff will provide guidance during the webinar on the methods available to ask a question. Alternatively, questions may be submitted in advance to Hironori Peterson.
