James Warden, Director, Office of Nuclear Energy, Safety & Security Affairs, Room 3320 HST Bureau of International Security
& Nonproliferation U.S. Department of State 2201 C Street, NW Washington, D.C. 20520
Dear Dir. Warden:
Enclosed is an application for export license XCOM13 59, dated March 7, 2023, received by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) from Mirion Technologies (IST) Corporation. The application requests a specific license to export two wide range fission chambers for neutron flux monitoring at the NRG Petten High Flux R eactor in the Netherlands.
We understand that previously provided generic assurances have been accepted by the Executive Branch for similar exports of reactor components to the Netherlands. Therefore, the NRC intends to issue a license to authorize the requested export after the 30- day time period allotted for public review has expired, and it is determined that the applicable export license criteria are met.
Sincerely,
X Ja nelle B. Jes s ie
Janelle B. Jessie, Acting Chief Export Controls and Nonproliferation Branch Offic e of International Programs
