SUBJECT:
U.S. NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION REVIEW OF EXPORT LICENSE APPLICATION XSNM3828
Dear Mr. Campbell:
I am writing to update you on the status of your export license application XSNM3828. The application is currently under review by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) for the export of high enriched uranium fuel assemblies for Belgian Research Reactor No. 2 in Mol, Belgium. Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations (10 CFR) 110.40(d) states, in part, if the Commission has not completed action on a license application within 60 days after receipt of the Executive Branch (EB) judgement, the NRC is required to inform the applicant in writing of the reason for the delay.
The NRC received the final EB judgment on February 8, 2023, but additional time is needed for the NRC to complete its review of the export application.
You may contact Barry Miller, the licensing officer assigned to your case, at any time for additional information. Mr. Miller may be reached via email at Barry.Miller@nrc.gov.
Sincerely, X
Janelle B. Jessie Janelle B. Jessie, Acting Chief Export Controls and Nonproliferation Branch Office of International Programs April 11, 2023
