Purpose:
To inform the National Materials Program community that the Office of Nuclear Material Safety and Safeguards Background (BK) Procedure BK-100, Program Description Documentation, has been rescinded.
Background:
The procedure BK-100, Program Description Documentation, provided a central reference point for the primary documents that collectively describe the Agreement State program as authorized by Section 274 of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as Amended, and the Energy Policy Act of 2005. This procedure is no longer needed because the information is publicly available on the state communications portal and/or on the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Public website.
Discussion: This procedure provided a central reference point for the primary documents that collectively describe the Agreement State program. It was used to aid in the management of the Agreement State program by establishing a comprehensive listing of Agreement State program documentation. Here are the current locations for the information that was contained in this procedure:

Communication Letters Information from before calendar year 2010 has been deleted. Therefore, this procedure is no longer needed because the information is publicly available. As a result, BK-100 has been rescinded.
