OF MARCH 20, 2023, TELECONFERENCE WITH NUCLEAR FUEL SERVICES, INC. FOR CLARIFICATION OF SPECIFIC RESPONSES TO THE REQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ON THE U-METAL LICESE AMENDMENT REQUEST On March 20, 2023, staff from the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) held a teleconference with Nuclear Fuel Services, Inc. (NFS) for clarification of three NFS responses to the NRCs request for additional information (RAIs) on the U-metal license amendment request.
The attendance list within this memo provides the attendees, as captured by the NRC staff who helped facilitate the teleconference.
During the teleconference, the NFS staff clarified details of their methodology for the integrated safety analysis and their licensing basis commitments regarding natural phenomena hazards.
The RAIs, responses to the RAIs, and the clarification discussed during the teleconference contain sensitive security-related information. Accordingly, the summary contained in the enclosure is marked as Official Use Only - Security-Related Information, and is withheld from public disclosure. When separated from the enclosure, this memo is decontrolled and publicly available, in accordance with title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations, section 2.390 of the NRCs "Agency Rules of Practice and Procedure."
