Dear Mr. Saverot,
By letter dated December 20, 2022 [1], Holtec submitted License Amendment Request (LAR) 9325-5 for HI-STAR 180 Certificate of Compliance (CoC) Number 9325. Holtec no longer has a business need for this amendment, so to avoid wasting the USNRCs valuable resources, Holtec hereby requests that all review activities for this submittal be terminated in their entirety and the EPID Number be closed.
Holtec understands that the staff had some concerns on the structural evaluations submitted and we are following our corrective action process to evaluate and address any issues regardless of the withdraw of this application.
We thank the staff for the time spent reviewing the application and their diligence in providing valuable feedback.
