Emergency Plan Implementing Procedure Revisions

In accordance with the requirements of 10 CFR 50.54(q) and 10 CFR 72.44(f), the Tennessee Valley Authority is submitting a description of changes to the Sequoyah Nuclear Plant (SQN)

Radiological Emergency Plan. The affected documents are the SQN Emergency Plan Implementing Procedures (EPIPs) listed below.

The above referenced revisions were evaluated in accordance with 10 CFR 50.54(q)(3) and 10 CFR 72.44(f). It was determined that the changes do not reduce the effectiveness of the Emergency Plan. Details of the revisions are included in the enclosure.

ENCLOSURE: SQN UNITS 1 & 2 DESCRIPTION OF REVISION/CHANGE

EPIP-1, Revision 59 x Added 0-TI-328, Design Engineering Numeric Input to the Emergency Preparedness Program as a developmental reference. Also, updated applicable Initiating Conditions (ICs) reference sections to reference the TI, as well as SQN Calculation MDQ000NA2022000001. Other IC references were updated to list calculations in alignment with 0-TI-328.

x Corrected titles of ICs CA1 and CU1 in the IC table of contents to be consistent with changes made in Revision 58.

EPIP-2, Revision 42 x Updated Radiological Release Determination Guidance to align with order in ICS

[Integrated Computer System].

EPIP-3, Revision 44 x Changed step in Attachment 3, Notification of Site Personnel, that removes the requirement to fax information if Vaporstream was used for notification.

EPIP-13, Revision 23 x Updated all appendices to attachments per the Procedure Writers Guide. This includes all references and cross references in the procedure.

x Removed outdated terminology exosensor from Attachment 4.

x Added calculation, 0-TI-328, to the references.

x Added Attachment 5 to add a new table that includes the updated calibration factor, industry standard, and conversion factor per Engineering Calculation, SQN TIRPS177.

x Added guidance to Attachment 5 to use the new conversion table when necessary.
