Thanks for the opportunity to provide comments and awareness to the NRC for the permitting request of the TRISO-X facility at Horizon Center Area 6 industrial park in Oak Ridge, TN. Permitting is not only for the assurance of employee and public safety, it also is important for minimizing any damaging environmental impact. What follows are attached pictures of the pristine ecological/environmental landscape within the bordering corridors and surrounding the 110 acre site. Think of the pictures as a means of communicating the environmental values in place of a "thousand words". Much of it evolving & remaining undisturbed for the past 80 years.
If any of your staff will be coning to do additional on site inspection I am happy to go with them and show the surrounding natural landscapes of special significance.
Some of this may already be provided by X-Energy.
