Thanks for the opportunity to provide comments and awareness to the NRC for the permitting request of the TRISO-X facility at Horizon Center Area 6 industrial park in Oak Ridge, TN. Permitting criteria are not only for the assurance of employee and public safety, it also is important for minimizing detrimental impacts to low impact recreational values of the adjoining natural areas. What follows are attached pictures as examples of the recreational values of the pristine greenway trails bordering the 110 acre site. Think of the pictures as a means of communicating these recreational values in place of a "thousand words". Ever increasing and becoming more appreciated with growing nearby population and residential development.
If any of your staff will be coning to do additional on site inspection I am happy to go with them and perhaps a walk or bike ride along the surrounding greenway trails.
Some of this may already be provided by X-Energy.
