Registration of Spent Fuel Casks and Notification of Permanent Removal of All Indian Point Unit 2 Spent Fuel Assemblies from the Spent Fuel Pit In accordance with the requirements of Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations 72.212(b)(2),
Holtec Decommissioning International, LLC (HDI) is providing the attached information to register the use of approved spent fuel casks at the Indian Point Energy Center (IPEC)
Independent Spent Fuel Storage Installation (ISFSI).
Additionally, this letter serves to notify the NRC that as of February 1, 2023, all Indian Point Unit 2 (IP2) spent nuclear fuel assemblies have been transferred out of the IP2 spent fuel pit and have been placed in dry storage within the ISFSI.
This letter contains no new regulatory commitments.
