Environmental Scoping Meeting Related to the Comanche Peak Nuclear Power Plant, Units 1 and 2, License Renewal Application

Location: Somervell County Expo Center 202 Bo Gibbs Blvd, W Hwy 67 Glen Rose, TX

Category: This is a Comment-Gathering Meeting. The purpose of this meeting is for NRC staff to meet directly with individuals to receive comments from participants on specific NRC decisions and actions to ensure that NRC staff understands their views and concerns.

Purpose:

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) will conduct an additional scoping process to gather information necessary to prepare an environmental impact statement (EIS) to evaluate the environmental impacts for the potential license renewal of the operating licenses for Comanche Peak Nuclear Power Plant (CPNPP), Units 1 and 2. The NRC is seeking stakeholder input on this action and has scheduled an additional public scoping meeting that will take place in Glen Rose, Texas.

Comments: Open house: The meeting will begin at 7:00PM CT. It will be preceded by an open house session to begin at 6:00PM, for members of the public to converse informally with NRC staff. Matters related to participation in any hearing are outside the scope of matters to be discussed at this public meeting. While comments will be accepted during the court reporter transcribed meeting, comments will not be accepted during the open house session.
