REQUEST FOR INFORMATION REGARDING DIABLO CANYON POWER PLANT, UNITS 1 AND 2 - DECEMBER 8, 2022, PUBLIC MEETING

Dear Ms. Gerfen:

During the December 8, 2022, public meeting Pacific Gas & Electric Company (PG&E) described plans to review and/or revise the existing aging management programs (AMPs) and to reconsider the timing of AMP-required activities, such as one-time inspections. In order to facilitate U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission inspection planning for the final Unit 1 outage before entering the Period of Extended Operations (PEO) in October 2023, the staff requests the following:

• the AMP-required commitments (including but not limited to inspections) that PG&E was committed to perform by the withdrawn license renewal application (dated November 23, 2009) prior to entering the PEO; and

• the current schedule for AMP-related activities in the October 2023 Unit 1 refueling outage.
