OF THE DECEMBER 5, 2022, CLOSED MEETING TO DISCUSS THE NUSCALE US460 STANDARD DESIGN APPROVAL EMERGENCY CORE COOLING SYSTEM VALVE DESIGN AND LOSS-OF-COOLANT ACCIDENT ANALYSIS The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) held a closed virtual meeting on December 5, 2022, as a follow up to the November 17, 2022, meeting to discuss the NuScale Power, LLC (NuScale) emergency core cooling system (ECCS) valve design and testing for the US460 standard design approval application and the proprietary information associated with this topic.
NuScale requested this meeting to gain further clarification on the staffs feedback provided during the November 17th meeting. NuScale also sought to gain further clarity on their ECCS valve design and loss-of-coolant accident analysis methodology.
The closed meeting was noticed and dated December 5, 2022. The meeting was posted on the NRC public website, and can be found in the NRCs Agencywide Documents Access and Management Systems (ADAMS) Accession No. ML22336A119.
