Enclosed is an application (XSNM3833), dated November 18, 2022, received by the U.S.

Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), from Edlow International Company as agent for Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organization (ANSTO), requesting to export 145.64 kilograms (kg) of U-235, contained in 730 kg of uranium, enriched to a maximum of 19.95%, in the form of metal pieces, for use as fuel and as targets for medical isotope production at the OPAL Research Reactor in Australia.

Assurances from Argentina, EURATOM, and Australia, that the material will be subject to all terms and conditions of an agreement for cooperation are required. Your assistance in obtaining the necessary assurances is requested.
