AMENDMENT NO. 10 TO CERTIFICATE OF COMPLIANCE NO. 1031 FOR THE MAGNASTOR STORAGE SYSTEM
Dear Heath Baldner:
As requested by your application dated December 9, 2019 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System [ADAMS] Accession No. ML19345E594), as supplemented on May 13, 2020 (ML20143A102), February 25, 2021 (ML21067A041), April 20, 2021 (ML21118A043), and September 2, 2021 (ML21251A529), enclosed is Amendment No. 10 to the Certificate of Compliance No. 1031 for the MAGNASTOR storage system. This amended certificate issued by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) constitutes the approval and conditions for use of the MAGNASTOR storage system for storage of spent nuclear fuel under the general license provisions of Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations (10 CFR),
Part 72, Subparts K and L. This amendment adds a new metal storage overpack.
As stated in the Federal Register (87 FR 66539, November 4, 2022), the effective date of this certificate is January 18, 2023. The NRC safety evaluation report for this amended certificate (including the technical specifications) is enclosed.
