Completeness determination for NuScale Power, LLC Submittal of Topical Report NuScale Power, LLC Quality Assurance Program Description, MN-122626, Revision 0 Attachments:

NuScale SDAA QAPD Completeness Determination NRC Form 898.pdf Attached please find the completed NRC Form 898 for the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission staff Licensing Topical Report (LTR) Completeness Determination for NuScale Power, LLC submittal of Topical Report NuScale Power, LLC Quality Assurance Program Description, MN-122626, Revision 0. The LTR was submitted by letter dated November 4, 2022 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System

[ADAMS] Accession No. ML22308A151). The NRC staff has reviewed the submitted information and found that it provides sufficient technical information to enable the NRC staff to complete a detailed technical review.

A preliminary review schedule was discussed with your staff, Stephanie Terwilliger, on December 14, 2022, and is based on the NRC staffs cursory review for sufficiency and completeness. The NRC staff plans to issue requests for additional information (RAIs) by March 10, 2023. NRC staff expects to provide the advanced safety evaluation to NuScale for proprietary material review by August 14, 2023. The schedule is based on the assumption that the applicant will submit an acceptable response within 30 days of receiving the staff's RAIs and no additional rounds of RAIs are needed.

The NRC staff estimates that the review will require approximately 220 staff hours including project management time. The level of effort could change once the NRC staff delves into matters of technical and/or policy merit during the detailed safety review.
