UNITED STATES NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION WASHINGTON, D.C. 20555-0001 December 14, 2022 ALL AGREEMENT STATES, CONNECTICUT, INDIANA NOTIFICATION OF ACCEPTANCE TO THE ROOT CAUSE WORKSHOP (G-205) COURSE (STC-22-072)

Purpose:

To provide notification to the States of students selected to attend the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commissions (NRC) virtual offering of the Root Cause Workshop (G-205) course to be held February 13-17, 2023.

Background:

The NRC provides funding to the Agreements States for training and the associated travel.

Discussion: Students selected to attend the February 13-17, 2023, Root Cause Workshop (G-205) course are provided in Enclosure 1. Please provide this notification to each individual from your program that has been accepted to this course. Detailed guidance for students will be provided at least 2 weeks prior to course start.

INSTRUCTIONS TO STUDENTS ACCEPTANCE: Individuals listed in Enclosure 1 have been accepted for participation in the Root Cause Workshop (G-205) course. This course is scheduled to be presented February 13-17, 2023.

COURSE: The course begins at 9:00 a.m. eastern time on Monday, February 13th, and ends at approximately 6:00 p.m. eastern time on Friday, February 17th.

You must attend and actively participate in all course components to receive credit for the course Course lectures will be delivered using MS Teams. You must have MS Teams loaded on your computer. We will not be providing the software. Participating via a browser is not acceptable, as the browser lacks many of the Teams tools used in virtual course deliveries. Please make sure you have a dependable internet connection, as well as a means to send/receive video and audio such as a webcam and a headset.

In addition, this courses template is in MS Excel, so you must have a copy of excel. Google Sheets will not suffice.

Further instructions, including course materials and schedule, will be provided via email to selected students several weeks before the course.
