The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) published the following document in the Federal Register:

Title:

Revision of the NRC Enforcement Policy.

Description of the document: This document revises the NRCs Enforcement Policy by updating the policys table of base civil penalties to reflect the new maximum civil penalty amount for violations of the Atomic Energy Act. This document is being published in conjunction with an NRC final rule that adjusts its civil penalty amounts for inflation, pursuant to the Federal Civil Penalties Inflation Adjustment Act Improvements Act of 2015.

Dates: The effective date of this revision is January 13, 2023.

This is not a major rule as defined by the Congressional Review Act.
