I would like to nominate Dr. Niav Hughes as the authorized U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) representative on the Executive Committee for the American Nuclear Society (ANS)
Human Factors, Instrumentation & Controls Division (HFICD). Dr. Hughes is a Human Factors Psychologist in the NRCs Office of Nuclear Regulatory Research and specializes in human and organizational factors research. We have enclosed a copy of Dr. Hughes biography for your information.
Dr. Hughes participation on the HFICD Executive Committee does not connote agency agreement with, or endorsement of, decisions reached by the committee. However, Dr. Hughes will, to the extent possible, ascertain the views of the agency on matters of interest and will express views that are consistent with established agency views.
