REFERENCE:
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR FOR OPERATIONS AND GENERAL COUNSEL, MEMORANDUM DATED OCTOBER 27, 2022 Attached is the Office of the Inspector Generals (OIG) analysis and status of recommendations as discussed in the agencys response dated October 27, 2022.
Based on this response, all recommendations associated with this report are now closed.

Audit Report AUDIT OF THE NRCS PROHIBITED SECURITY OWNERSHIP PROCESS Status of Recommendations (OIG-21-A-17)
Recommendation 4: Revise MD 7.7, Security Ownership, to include roles and responsibilities clarifications, and remove inconsistencies and outdated information.
Agency Response Dated October 27, 2022: OGC drafted an update to MD 7.7, which includes clarifications to roles and responsibilities and removes inconsistencies and outdated information. OGC shared the revised MD with partner offices for review and comment. OGC has reviewed and addressed the comments received during the interoffice comment period. The MD was published by Office of Administration on October 5, 2022. ML22270A195.
Status: Complete.
OIG Analysis: The OIG reviewed and verified that the updated MD 7.7, Prohibited Securities, clarifies roles and responsibilities, and removes inconsistencies and outdated information identified in the previous version. Therefore, this recommendation is closed.
Status: Closed.
