OVERVIEW FY22 accomplishments and FY23 priorities across the international program 5 major programmatic areas How we are implementing the International Strategy

THE NRCS INTERNATIONAL STRATEGY Excel: Maintain excellence in executing the NRCs statutorily-mandated activities effectively and efficiently.

Integrate: Ensure that NRC activities are integrated with broader U.S. Government national security and foreign policy priorities.

Partner: Build and maintain strategic partnerships in specific regions of the world that are of strategic importance to the U.S.

Government and will enable the agency to learn from its counterparts to advance its domestic activities.

THE NRCS INTERNATIONAL STRATEGY Lead: Demonstrate leadership in the international regulatory community through involvement in key bilateral and multilateral fora in which the NRC is advanced in its thinking or progress and in areas of strategic importance to the U.S. Government.

Assist: Provide assistance to countries to develop or strengthen their regulatory programs.

Support high-priority Executive Branch requests re: global deployment of new reactors Help embarking countries develop regulatory infrastructure for nuclear materials Support development of national radiological source inventories, particularly in high threat regions

  • SMR security
