MEET AND GREET BETWEEN THE FORT HALL BUSINESS COUNCIL OF THE SHOSHONE-BANNOCK TRIBES AND THE U.S. NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION
Dear Chairman Small:
The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) would like to thank the Fort Hall Business Council for the invitation to meet the Council on October 27, 2022, and for the opportunity to discuss the NRCs mission, regulatory processes, and potential review of the Carbon Free Power Project (CFPP) Combined License Application. The NRC appreciated the opportunity to discuss our roles and responsibilities with the Council as well as answer questions the Council had related to the NRC and the potential project.
The NRC would also like to acknowledge and sincerely thank the Council for the comments provided during our meeting on the NRCs Tribal Protocol Manual. The comments and feedback received have been provided to the NRCs Division of Materials Safety, Security, State, and Tribal Programs along with my recommendation to update the NRC Tribal Protocol Manual.
