Dear Director,
EnergySolutions, as the holder of the referenced 8-120B Transportation Package Certificate of Compliance (CoC) No. 9168, which currently expires on December 31, 2022, hereby requests that the CoC be renewed to ensure continued use of the packag ing. It is requested that the renewed CoC is issued to the following company name/a ddress: EnergySolutions, 740 Osborn Road, Barnwell, SC 29812.
EnergySolutions has reviewed the applicable Safety Analysis Report sections on operating procedures, acceptance tests, and maintenance programs and determined that they are complete and accurat e and do not require revision. Therefore, there are no changes to the application cited in the current CoC.
We are requesting renewal of the 8 -120B CoC ahead of the existing CoC expiration date due necessity to update the Certificate of Competent Authority (issued by the US Department of Transportation) along with obtaining endorsement of the 8-120B CoC by Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC).
This letter is submitted electronically via the NRC Electronic Information Exchange (EIE) system with an electronic copy to be sent to Mr. Pierre Saverot.
