This is a Comment-Gathering Meeting. The purpose of this meeting is for NRC staff to meet directly with individuals to receive comments from participants on specific NRC decisions and actions to ensure that NRC staff understands their views and concerns.
Purpose:
The purpose of this meeting is to gather insights from external stakeholders on lessons learned from construction oversight of Vogtle and Summer. The meeting will include an introduction by NRC to provide background and discuss potential focus areas. During the meeting, NRC staff will engage directly with participants to solicit feedback on best practices and areas for improvement.

The purpose of this meeting is for NRC staff to meet directly with individuals to receive comments on construction oversight of Vogtle and Summer to identify best practices and areas for improvement in NRC programs and policies. In August 2021, staff announced the start of the initiative and presented the schedule for collecting stakeholder comments and providing a public report summarizing the results. Staff looks to collect feedback in the general areas listed on the agenda.
The staff will use these comments to inform a summary report on lessons learned from construction oversight. Participants may submit written comments prior to the meeting or provide verbal comments during the meeting.
The NRC provides reasonable accommodations to individuals with disabilities where appropriate.
