Request for new NRC Docket for eVinci' Microreactor Package Type B(U)F License Westinghouse hereby requests that the NRC open a new docket for a B(U)F License for the eVinci' microreactor package. The new docket is for a shipping package that will be designed to transport an eVinci module.
The packaging design under this docket is still under development. Details of the Westinghouse anticipated submittals of the transportation package documentation are anticipated to be communicated in a future update to the eVinci microreactor pre-application regulatory engagement plan later this year. Pre-application engagement has commenced with Westinghouses submittal of the U.S. Transportation Strategy licensing white paper (EVR-TPS-G0-002, submitted to NRC via EVR_LTR_220092) in June 2022, and Westinghouse looks forward to further pre-application engagement.
