ACCEPTANCE OF LOUISIANA ENERGY SERVICES RISK ASSESSMENT FOR CLASSIFIED NETWORKS (ENTERPRISE PROJECT IDENTIFIER L-2021-LLL-0007)
Dear Wyatt Padgett:
The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff has reviewed the Louisiana Energy Services (LES), dba URENCO USA (UUSA), letter Submittal of Risk Assessment Report for Classified Systems, dated October 7, 2021, (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System Accession Number (ADAMS) Accession No. ML21286A133, Non-Public). The staff has also reviewed your response to the request for supplemental information submitted via letter dated December 21, 2021 (ML21361A044) and held discussions with UUSA staff on the draft requests for additional information (RAIs) during a site visit held on April 19-21, 2022 (ML22126A158, Non-Public).
On August 7, 2022, LES submitted Louisiana Energy Services, dba URENCO USA (UUSA) -
Response to RAI Regarding LES Risk Assessment for Classified Networks, (ML22250A641, Non-Public). The application and other supporting documentations identified above were reviewed as part of this assessment.
Based on the review, the NRC staff determined the UUSA Risk Assessment is approved with the following two conditions: (1) UUSA must update the risk assessment to address significant changes to the facility, and (2) UUSA must provide a response to a plan of action and milestones by March 31, 2023, see details in the attached enclosure. The NRC staffs basis for approval is documented in the enclosed authorization assessment report.
This letter concludes work on the UUSA Risk Assessment. The Enterprise Project Identification Number L-2021-LLL-0007 will remain open to support future authorizing official related activities.
This document transmits an enclosure containing sensitive, unclassified information. When separated from the enclosure, this document is decontrolled.
