Records on the Surrey issue/ interface LOCA discovered during the WASH-1400 study, that Ive discussed with named individual; and memos/documents sent to or received by named individual or by NRC staff relating to studies on siting criteria for nuclear plants that were drafted circa 1991-1992, memos on files of Ivan Selin/other commissioners at the time.

PART I.A -- FEES You will be billed by NRC for the amount indicated. Since the minimum fee threshold was not met, AMOUNT you will not be charged fees.

PART I.B -- INFORMATION NOT LOCATED OR WITHHELD FROM DISCLOSURE We did not locate any agency records responsive to your request. Note: Agencies may treat three discrete categories of law enforcement and national security records as not subject to the FOIA ("exclusions"). See 5 U.S.C. 552(c). This is a standard notification given to all requesters; it should not be taken to mean that any excluded records do, or do not, exist.

We have withheld certain information pursuant to the FOIA exemptions described, and for the reasons stated, in Part II.

RESPONSE TO FREEDOM OF 2021-000179 1 INFORMATION ACT (FOIA) REQUEST RESPONSE TYPE INTERIM FINAL PART I.D -- COMMENTS This is in response to your June 16, 2021 FOIA request. We have searched for records within the Offices of the Secretary to the Commission (SECY), Nuclear Reactor Regulation (NRR), Nuclear Regulatory Research (RES) and the Office of Public Affairs (OPA).

This interim response addresses the records that are already publicly available in ADAMS. Please see the enclosed ADAMS Report.
