August 5, 2022 MEMORANDUM TO OPERATING POWER.REACTORRISK MANAGERS AND THEIR BROKERS Notification of Change in the Number of Power Reactors* in the Secondary Financial Protection (SFP) Program Further to our memorandum dated June 10, 2021, we have been advised that the Nuclear Regulatory Commission has issued the 10 CFR, Part 52.103 (g) letter granting Southern Nuclear Operating Company, Inc. permission to commence fuel loading for the Vogtle Electric Generating Plant Unit 3, effective August 3, 2022. Per the request of Southern Nuclear Operating Company, Inc., American Nuclear Insurers (ANI) has issued the Vogtle Electric Generating Plant Unit 3 a certificate under the Secondary Financial Protection (SFP) Master Policy effective the same date. As a result of this, the total number of participants in the SFP program has been increased from 95 to 96.

    • Maximum retrospective premium is $137,608,800 per reactor which includes the 5%

additional assessment pursuant to 42 U.S.C.A. § 2210(o)(1)(E). $137,608,800 x 96 reactors=

$13,210,444,800.
