PRO CE E n*I NG S CHAIRMAN HENDRIE:

Do we still have one left, John?

MR. HOYLE:

we have two.

CHAIRMAN HENDRIE:

Please affirm us.

MR. HOYLE:

The first one is the paper dealing with medical uses of byproduct.material.

.I have each of the indiv:i,dual :tro'i:.es to publish a proposed amendment to Part 34.

Part 34 deals primarily with procedures for safe radiographic operations.

I would also publish an advance Notice of Rule-making identifying for public comment certain design features for radiographic exposure devices and announcing a public m:e_eting to discuss those design features.

I have your individual approvals for publishing those amendments and that announcement.

CHAIRMAN HENDRIE:

All in favor.

(Chorus of ayes.)

So ordered.

Next.

MR. HOYLE:

The next one, we had:a draft order regarding Bailly on there that we have taken off. It's an old one.

I do hope we can get it back on as soon as we can.

CHAIRMAN HENDRIE:

Okay, the next one.

MR. HOYLE:

The next one is COMMISSIONER KENNEDY:

When is it required?

is this order required?

MR. HOYLE:

We do not have a specific required date for that order.

It is an order responding to four petitions for review of the denial of the Director or NRR's decision.

The additional item is the review of ALAB-455 regarding Prairie Island.

Each of you have agreed to an extension of time within which to review.

We've received two petitions for review of that ALAB.

The staff had proposed March 31 as the~date to which you extend the review time.

Commissioner Kennedy has suggested that that date be April 7th, a week beyond that, so I ask tci"~ffirm that we consider the extra week to ~~pril 7th.

CHAIRMAN HENDRIE:

Those in favor.

(Chorus of ayes.)

So ordered.

Those are the two that a:re still alive out of the affirmation session.

COMMISSIONER KENNEDY:

I thought we were going to take care of that FOIA appeal concerning Gaynor.

What happened to that?

MR. HOYLE:

I do not have sufficient votes to bring it to affirmation.

(Whereupon, the meeting was adjourned at 4:45 p.m.)
