OF CLOSED PRE-SUBMITTAL MEETING FOR THE FUTURE SUBMITTAL OF WESTINGHOUSE ELECTRIC COMPANY TOPICAL REPORT SUPPLEMENT 1 TO CENPD-289-P/NP, USE OF INERT REPLACEMENT RODS IN CE 16X16 NEXT GENERATION FUEL (EPID L-2022-TOP-0030)
On June 23, 2022, a closed pre-submittal virtual meeting was held between the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff and Westinghouse Electric Company (Westinghouse) representatives. The purpose of the meeting was for Westinghouse representatives to present proprietary information related to the future submittal of Westinghouse topical report (TR) Supplement 1 to CENPD-289-P/NP, Use of Inert Replacement Rods in CE 16x16 Next Generation Fuel (Proprietary/Non-Proprietary).
Westinghouse outlined the purpose of the TR, scope, and licensing approach. By a letter dated May 19, 2022, Westinghouse submitted an executive summary (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML22140A380) and by a letter dated June 21, 2022, submitted presentation slides (ADAMS Accession No. ML22172A169).
