SUMMARY
OF THE JULY 12, 2022, OBSERVATION PUBLIC MEETING TO DISCUSS PART 8 - INSPECTIONS, TESTS, ANALYSIS AND ACCEPTANCE CRITERIA OF NUSCALE LLCS STANDARD DESIGN APPROVAL APPLICATION The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) held an observation public meeting on July 12, 2022, to discuss how NuScale Power, LLC (NuScale), plans to include Inspections, Tests, Analysis and Acceptance Critertia (ITAAC) in their standard design approval (SDA) application.
NuScale requested this meeting to present their plan to include ITAAC in Part 8 of the SDA application and answer questions the NRC staff had regarding their plan. Members of the general public participated via bridgeline during the meeting.
The public meeting notice dated July 12, 2022, was posted on the NRC public website, and can be found in the NRCs Agencywide Documents Access and Management Systems (ADAMS) under Accession No. ML22193A109. Information related to NuScales presentation can be found under ML22182A485.

OF THE JULY 12, 2022, OBSERVATION PUBLIC MEETING TO DISCUSS PART 8 - ITAAC, OF NUSCALE LLCS STANDARD DESIGN APPROVAL APPLICATION OVERVIEW The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) held an observation public meeting on July 12, 2022, to discuss how NuScale Power, LLC (NuScale), plans to include inspections, tests, analysis and acceptance Critertia (ITAAC) in their standard design approval (SDA) application.
NuScale requested this meeting to present their plan to include ITAAC in Part 8 of the SDA application and answer questions the NRC staff had regarding their plan. There were no questions posed from the public attendees.

Outcomes:
During its presentation, NuScale stated that because there is not a Tier 1 section in the SDA application as there was in the design certification application (DCA), the ITAAC information would be relocated to Part 8 of the SDA application. Specifically, ITAAC Design Descriptions and ITAAC tables and figures related to the US460 design would be located in Part 8 of the SDA applications along with ITAAC tables similar to those in Tier 2, Section 14.3 of the NuScale DCA.
NuScale explained that it plans to eliminate redundant information that is not referenced by the ITAAC and are located in other sections of the SDA application.
The NRC staff stated that there should be a discussion with NuScale on whether to include Part 8, ITAAC as part of the forthcoming readiness assessment for the SDA application. NuScale was receptive to the comment.
