SUBJECT:
U.S. NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION REVIEW OF EXPORT LICENSE APPLICATION XB1350
Dear Mr. Hoey:
I am writing to update you on the status of your export license application (XB1350). The application is currently under review by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), for the export of sealed sources to the Iraq decommissioning program at the Iraq Ministry of Science and Technology in Baghdad. Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations (10 CFR) 110.40(d),
states in part, if the Commission has not completed action on a license application within 60 days after receipt of the Executive Branch (EB) judgement, the NRC is required to inform the applicant in writing of the reason for the delay.
The NRC received the final EB judgment on April 6, 2022, but additional time is needed for NRC staff and management to complete its review of the export application.
You may contact Joanne Savoy and Lauren Mayros, the licensing officers assigned to your case, at any time. Ms. Savoy may be reached via email at Joanne.Savoy@nrc.gov and Ms. Mayros may be reached via email at Lauren.Mayros@nrc.gov.
Sincerely, 6/21/2022 X
