OF THE JUNE 23, 2022, PUBLIC OBSERVATION MEETING BETWEEN THE U.S. NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION STAFF AND WESTINGHOUSE ELECTRIC COMPANY, LLC TO DISCUSS WAVE 3 OF THE EVINCI WHITE PAPERS On June 23, 2022 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS)
Accession No. ML22158A302), the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff held a public observation meeting with representatives from Westinghouse Electric Company, LLC (Westinghouse). The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the contents and the NRC staffs plans for the review of the following eight white papers associated with the eVinci reactor:

EPZ Sizing Methodology
Physical Security
Heat Pipe Design, Qualification, and Testing
Nuclear Design
Transportation Westinghouse described its strategy for the development and eventual submittal of 16 white papers for the eVinci reactor, of which those discussed at this meeting represent the third wave. Westinghouse also provided a high-level description of the contents of the eight white CONTACT: Donna Williams, NRR/DANU 301-415-2183 papers and the feedback that it is seeking from the NRC staff. Westinghouse stated that it is requesting observations and insights from the NRC staff on the white papers. Westinghouse plans to hold another meeting with the NRC staff following the submittal of the white papers to July 20, 2022 Signed by Williams, Donn on 07/20/22
