OF JUNE14, 2022, PUBLIC MEETING WITH ENTERGY OPERATIONS, INC. TO DISCUSS UPCOMING RELIEF REQUEST TO USE CODE CASE N-752 FOR GRAND GULF NUCLEAR STATION, UNIT 1; RIVER BEND STATION, UNIT 1; AND WATERFORD STEAM ELECTRIC STATION, UNIT 3 (EPID L-2022-LRM-0043)

On June 14, 2022, an Observation public meeting was held between the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff and Entergy Operations, Inc. (the licensee) via teleconference. The purpose of this meeting was to discuss the licensees upcoming relief request to use American Society of Mechanical Engineers Code Case N-752, Risk-Informed Categorization and Treatment for Repair/Replacement Activities in Class 2 and 3 Systems,Section XI, Division 1, for Grand Gulf Nuclear Station, Unit 1; River Bend Station, Unit 1; and Waterford Steam Electric Station, Unit 3. The meeting notice and agenda, dated May 25, 2022, are available in the NRCs Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) at Accession No. ML22160A281. A list of attendees is provided in the enclosure.

The licensee provided slides for this public meeting, which are available in ADAMS at ML22164A801. The licensee stated in its presentation that NRC approved a similar relief request for Arkansas Nuclear One, Units 1 and 2 (ML21118B039). In addition, the licensee stated that it is planning to submit this relief request by June 30, 2022, and will request NRC approval by July 1, 2023.

No members of the public called into the meeting. No regulatory decisions or commitments were made at the meeting. No Public Meeting Feedback forms were received.
