Dear Ms. Johnson and Dr. Munoz-Pando:

Enclosed is the draft report of the recently completed cultural resources survey of Westinghouse Electric Company LLCs Columbia Fuel Fabrication Facility (CFFF) near Hopkins, Richland County, South Carolina. The survey conforms to the research design reviewed and accepted by your office in August 2021. The survey identified or documented five archaeological sites (38RD1512-38RD1516), five above-ground historic resources (SHPO Site No. 3577, 8120, 8689, 8690, 8691), and the Denley Cemetery (SHPO Site No. 8119/38RD1518). We recommend all of these resources not eligible for the NRHP.

Please review the draft report. We are happy to provide any additional information that we have concerning the CFFF or the survey. We look forward to your comments.

Sincerely, Eric C. Poplin, Ph.D., RPA #12994 Principal Investigator cc: Nancy Parr and Raymond Bates, Westinghouse Electric Company
