OF THE MAY 19, 2022, PUBLIC OUTREACH TO DISCUSS THE NRC 2021 END-OF-CYCLE PLANT PERFORMANCE ASSESSMENT OF PERRY NUCLEAR POWER PLANT On May 19, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. (EDT), an information meeting with a question-and-answer session was held by representatives of the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) to provide the public with information on the 2021 End-of-Cycle plant performance assessment of the Perry Nuclear Power Plant, and with general information on the NRC. The open house was held at the Perry Public Library in Perry, Ohio. The NRC representatives discussed plant performance with members of the public and state employees.
Representatives from Energy Harbor were also present at the event.
The NRC discussed their assessment of Perry Nuclear Power Plants performance during the public outreach. The assessment information was documented in the March 2, 2022, End-of-Cycle Assessment Letter (ADAMS Accession Number ML22059B050). Representatives from the NRC made copies of the above letter and other brochures and fact sheets available to the public in attendance. Throughout the open house, members of the public were given the opportunity to ask questions of Energy Harbor officials.
