HomeBio - Michael Melton Michael Melton Michael Melton is currently the Business Development Manager at X-energy. Mike started his career in nuclear power at the Palo Verde Generating Station as a Metallurgical Engineer, working there during final construction, start-up, and operations. Mikes focus has been on codes & standards, materials, welding, failure analyses and non-destructive testing. He has led several industry committees to resolve generic materials degradation related issues. Mike has grown his leadership into new plant licensing, leading two successful 10 CFR Part 52 Design Certification Application Final Safety Evaluations. Mike is now leading X-energys advanced reactor SMR business development work in the U.S.
