HomeBio - Theresa Lalain Theresa Lalain Dr. Theresa âœTeriâ Lalain serves as the Deputy Division Director, Division of systems Analysis (DSA), in the Office of Nuclear Regulatory Research. Dr. Lalain joined the U.S.
Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) in 2021. Before joining the NRC, she served as the Capabilities Division Chief at the U.S. Army Test and Evaluation Command (ATEC)
Headquarters where she ensured the readiness of the Armyâ's estimated $5B in test instrumentation used across the Army test ranges to assess the effectiveness of items to be used by the solider. She led the preparation, prioritization, and defense of over $250M budget for the modernization of these capabilities which included efforts for new areas such as autonomous and artificial intelligence systems. She also served as a Branch Chief for the Edgewood Chemical Biological Center where she led research in the mitigation of chemical warfare agent hazards including updates to the methods for vapor source term and subsequent scenario analyses for human health-based exposure assessments. She is a recent graduate of the NRC SESCDP program. She earned her PhD in chemistry from the Pennsylvania State University, and bachelorâ's degree in chemistry from Notre Dame College of Ohio.
