On December 4, 2021, a Perry Nuclear security guard noticed two drones flying over the Protective Area. It was d ark and the guard could not identify the shape or any markings on the drone. The guard shined a laser pointer at the drones and one exited the protective area flying west a n d the other exited southeast. The licensee notified the d ispatch centers for Lake County loca l law enforcement and the FAA.

The licensee will be notifying the NR G Resident Inspector.
