STAFF REQUIREMENTS - BRIEFING ON ADVANCED REACTORS ACTIVITIES WITH FEDERAL PARTNERS On May 12, 2022, the Commission was briefed on current activities in advanced reactors among federal partners. The participants included Jeff Waksman, Program Manager, Strategic Capabilities Office, U.S. Department of Defense; James Sample, Principal Director of Infrastructure, Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Environment, Safety, and Infrastructure, U.S. Air Force; Alison Hahn, Director for Nuclear Reactor Deployment, Office of Nuclear Energy, U.S. Department of Energy; and Anthony Calomino, Space Nuclear Technology Portfolio Manager, Space Technology Mission Directorate, National Aeronautics and Space Administration.
The meeting, which was held in the Commissioners Conference Room, One White Flint North, Rockville, Maryland, at 10:00 a.m. Eastern Time, was open to members of the public attending in person and via webcast.
No requirements were identified for staff action.
