Revision of Fee Schedules; Fee Recovery for Fiscal Year 2022.

Description of the document: This final rule amends the NRCs FY22 licensing, inspection, special project, and annual fees charged to its applicants and licensees.

These amendments are necessary to implement the Nuclear Energy Innovation and Modernization Act, which requires the NRC to recover, to the maximum extent practicable, approximately 100 percent of its total budget authority for the fiscal year, less the budget authority for excluded activities, through fees.

Dates: The effective date of this rule is 60 days after publication.

This is a major rule as defined by the Congressional Review Act.
