By letter dated October 31, 2021 (Reference 1), Kairos Power LLC submitted its Environmental Report (ER) in support of the construction permit application (CPA) for the Hermes test reactor. As part of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) review of the information contained in the ER, NRC staff announced (Reference 2) and conducted an audit of the Hermes ER.

During the audit, Kairos Power agreed to revise the Environmental Report to address NRC information needs identified during the audit. Enclosure 1 provides changes to the Hermes Environmental Report that were discussed during the audit. Kairos Power requests NRC staff review of these changes in support of continued review of the Hermes CPA.
