On behalf of the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), I am submitting this report on the NRC's preparedness for accident tolerant fuel licensing , as directed by the explanatory statement accompanying the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2022. The report focuses on the steps being taken to ensure that licensing activities , including those related to higher burnup and enrichment, support projected deployment schedules .
