U.S. Department of Homeland Security FEMA Region 6 800 N. Loop 288 Denton, TX 76209 FEMA March 15, 2022 Mr. Scott Morris Regional Administrator U.S. NRC, Region IV 1600 East Lamar Boulevard Arlington, TX 76011-4511

Dear Mr. Morris:

Enclosed is a copy of the Radiological Emergency Preparedness Program (REPP) final report for Arkansas Nuclear One (ANO), Reception Center and Emergency Worker Monitoring and Decontamination Center Drills, that were evaluated during the period of November 17, 2021 to December 16, 2021. FEMA Region 6 staff evaluated the virtual drills at the Morrilton Reception Center in Conway County and Atkins Emergency Monitoring and Decontamination Center in Pope County, Arkansas. There were no Level 1 Findings. There was one Level 2 Finding that was identified and corrected during the drill. No Plan Issues were identified.

Based on the results of the drill, the planning and preparedness for the State of Arkansas and affected local jurisdictions provide reasonable assurance that appropriate measures can be taken to protect public health and safety in the event of a radiological release. Therefore, 44 CFR Part 350 approval of the offsite radiological emergency response plans and preparedness for the State of Arkansas, specific to Arkansas Nuclear One, will remain in effect.

A copy of this report was mailed to the NRC Headquarters Document Control Desk and a copy was transmitted electronically to RIV FEMADistribution@NRC.gov as specified in the FEMA,REP Program Manual dated January 2016. Should you have questions, please contact Elsa Lopez, Senior Site Specialist for the Arkansas Nuclear One site, at (940) 898-5308 or (940) 367-5588.
