Dear Mr. Warden:
Enclosed is export application XCOM1348, dated February 1, 2022, received by the U.S.
Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) from Curtiss-Wright Flow Control Service, LLC. The application requests the export of steam generator nozzle dams, reactor and steam generator maintenance tooling, equipment, and spare parts, including, but not limited to, nozzle check valves, to China for installation at the Haiyang Nuclear Power Plant, Units 1 and 2.
Before taking action on this request, we would appreciate your views, in accordance with established procedures and from the overall perspective of the Executive Branch, as to whether the requested export meets the applicable criteria in the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended.
As such, your assistance in obtaining the necessary Executive Branch views, 60 days after receiving this letter.
