TN provided draft supplemental responses to RAI 10-1 (See attached enclosures: public and non-public proprietary versions).
NRC questioned whether the calibration block is representative to detect flaws mentioned in the RAI response?
TN responded that they have chosen and picked surfaces that are the most difficult/challenging to detect flaws.
NRC requested that TN provide an explanation in their response indicating the actual surface that TN is interested in, and how TN is going to conduct the measurement.
TN will provide an example (reflector #7 or #8 or #9) from the top or bottom notch, and an example (reflector #1 or #2 ) of one of the side drilled holes.
Any correspondence or transmittal of supplemental information should include the following:
