This is a Comment-Gathering Meeting. The purpose of this meeting is for NRC staff to meet directly with individuals to receive comments from participants on specific NRC decisions and actions to ensure that NRC staff understands their views and concerns.

Purpose:

The purpose of the meeting is for the NRC to inform and solicit external stakeholders feedback on the NRC staffs plan to expand the current policy for addressing Common-Cause-Failure (CCF) for digital I&C systems to allow consideration of risk-informed alternatives to the SRM to SECY 93-087. The meeting will include a presentation by the NRC staff to explain and fully engage the stakeholders in a discussion of the proposed plan. The opinions, perspectives, and feedback received at this meeting will be used to support actions such as development of a SECY paper and other regulatory activities and actions. The stakeholders are also encouraged to provide their feedback or to request time on the meeting agenda prior to the meeting directly to the contacts listed below.
