PUBLIC MEETING TO DISCUSS THE PART 53 RISK-INFORMED, TECHNOLOGY-INCLUSIVE REGULATORY FRAMEWORK FOR ADVANCED REACTORS RULEMAKING Date(s) and Time(s): February 08, 2022, 01:00 PM to 04:00 PM ET Location: Webinar Category: This is a Comment-Gathering Meeting. The purpose of this meeting is for NRC staff to meet directly with individuals to receive comments from participants on specific NRC decisions and actions to ensure that NRC staff understands their views and concerns.

Purpose:

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff is hosting a webinar to provide an opportunity for non-governmental organizations and other external stakeholders to exchange information with the NRC staff on the NRCs development of the Part 53 proposed rule for advanced nuclear reactors. The NRC staff will provide a high-level overview of the proposed rule to engage stakeholders whose participation may have been limited due to the pace of this rulemaking.

To support previous public meetings, the NRC staff has released a series of separate Discussion Tables for Part 53, Part 26, and Part 73 containing preliminary proposed rule language. These documents are available in ADAMS under accession number ML20289A534. In addition, the NRC staff has consolidated the Part 53 preliminary proposed rule language into one document. This document is available in ADAMS under accession number ML22024A066 and on the regulations.gov website under docket ID NRC-2019-0062.

to the meeting.
